✨ Thank you to the Franco-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CFACI) for the invitation to the magnificent evening organised on May 13,2025 at the Cercle de l’Union Interalliée, to mark its 70ᵉ anniversary.
Placed under the high patronage of Mrs Anke Rehlinger, Minister-President and Plenipotentiary responsible for Franco-German cultural relations, the ceremony provided an opportunity to celebrate the wealth of Franco-German economic cooperation.
Guy Maugis, President of CFACI, opened the evening (‘There is no future without roots’).
The following speakers then took the floor:

– Till Oberwörder, CEO of Daimler Buses
– Patrick Brandmaier, Managing Director of CFACI
A retrospective video recalled two milestones in this friendship:
– 1963: Signing of the Élysée Treaty by Charles de Gaulle and Konrad Adenauer
– 2019 : Signing of the Treaty of Aachen by Emmanuel Macron and Angela Merkel.
May the Franco-German alliance, a pillar of European integration, continue to thrive on trust and a shared vision in the service of peace and European unity.
And my modest contribution to this strong bond:
the birth of my Franco-German daughter on 8 May, Armistice Day.
